How plastic pollution affects oceans

🌊  How plastic pollution affects oceans 🌊

Ok, I actually fear the future of our generation, like not by intelligence but by the condition of our planet. "How are we gonna survive?" is the biggest question right now faced by human-beings. We all talk about saving the environment and cleaning LAND (stressing the word), we can shift the glory to the ocean for once. The ocean plays a significant part in our life, providing most of Earth's oxygen, yes not trees but the ocean (I'll talk about it in detail later). Obviously, tremendous efforts have been made but we can all agree that there is more waste in the ocean than we can take out. And there are ways we can stop this, but everyone's efforts must be contributed. I know you have heard about this topic probably a million times in your life, but let's face it. Throwing a piece of trash in the garbage is better than wearing an oxygen mask in the future.

Most Common. It steals the show. We all HATE it right. THEN WHY THE FLIP DO HUMANS THROW THEIR TRASHY TRASH IN SEAS WHEN THERE ARE PERFECTLY AMAZING GARBAGE BINS WE CAN YEET IT IN AND NOT DIE!!. Like jeez, y'all want us to die or something. Plastic pollution, IDK what to say on this topic cuz it's pretty clear to EVERYONE hmmmm....???

Factor 2: Over Fishing

I don't really know what to do about this one, who am I? The President? Like if you do fish for a living please reconsider, it might help everyone.

That's all I wanted to say about the factors but have you stopped to consider the fact that you eat plastic, yes YOU!
If you think about it, we throw plastic into the ocean, the plastic gets eaten by the fish, the fishermen catch the fish and sell it, the companies buy it and sell it in the market, and finally we buy the fish and eat it and karma finally takes place. One of the many reasons I hate fish. It also tastes bad but whatever.

Prevention Method 1:

Beach Clean-Ups: This one is very underrated, because people think it doesn't do much. I think it's the by-stander effect, basically if you're in trouble go to a single person because if you go to a crowd, they wait for someone else thinking the other will do something.
And for the people who act like the mean girls, just think there wont be any more fun beach days or playing volleyball or something.

I was talking about the Ocean being more oxygen-giving than the land, well its really simple. Plankton are microscopic-organisms that live in oceans, they're basically like plants, they take in carbon-dioxide and release oxygen and supply 50%-80% of Earth's oxygen.
These phytoplankton are in danger, because due to the sudden increase in temperature, their population is decreasing rapidly and so is the oxygen levels. And also it's a main source of food for some marine animals so it kills them slowly as well.

I hope you all got some knowledge today and stay informed I guess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
