Bioluminescent Creatures: Meet Nature’s Living Lanterns”

Image
Fireflies, Bioluminescence, and Jellyfish: Meet Nature’s Living Lanterns  Fireflies, are super pretty, making not only for good photos but also for the environment. Just imagine a cozy night by the campfire eating smores with nature all around you (you might get eaten by a bear but whatever)  This post is dedicated to things that glow, literally, not metaphorically and I read about something that will knock you're socks off. It's the substances that makes these thing glow, I've mentioned it in my 'Weird Sea Creatures' post. It's... (drumroll please) bioluminescence. It's a chemical reaction emitted by organisms and can produce their own light, pretty cool huh? 76 percentage of sea animals can produce their own light which kinda makes sense they live deep underwater and need light to survive. Have you ever seen those cool beaches where people throw rocks in the sea (ouch, that's offensive) and it starts to glow like neon dark blue. That's and example...

The Role of Bees in Nature – Why We Must Protect Them

Image
The Role of Bees in Nature – Why We  Must   Protect Them  Every morning, you wake up (or not) and make your tea, you might add sugar, lemon or honey. Honey comes from the very insect which gives Earth life (kinda). Bees only live for 15-38 days which is not much, summer break is longer than a bee's life I'll tell you that much, but bees work hard they're entire life. All worker bees  are females, which I didn't know until today. I guess that makes a lot of sense, hehe. When they are born, they are taken care of by some worker bees like a nursery center. Then when they.... hatch? IG, they learn how to become a worker bee and collect pollen and make honey. This will probably change the way you think but honey is actually um... bee spit so..... have fun with that. A single bee only makes 1/12th of a tea-spoon in it's lifetime which is sad. The bee population is decreasing fast and we aren't doing much. Ok some people are doing a lot but the least we can do...

Whale Wisdom: Exploring the World of Whales

Image
Whale Wisdom: Exploring the World of Whales      First of all let me get this straight, I love whales. Even though Tiger Sharks are my favorite animal of all time, whale are up there. But I wish that we could see them often, cause they look like they could pull all your secrets out of you, with those eyes. And um... no whales don't fly, pictures can be misleading but I just took this just for the aesthetic. I really hated the 1960s where people would capture whales, quote on quote "for fun". Anyways let's look at the life of a whale and some unique whales that are EXTREMELY rare!  Life Of The Monstrosity known as the WHALE!  The life of a whale starts like any other marine animal, being born into this world and finally opening its eyes to see the dangers and miracles that lie at it's  feet fins. It depends on its mother at the early stages of life and learns the ways and skill it takes to become a whale, independant to find its own food, fend ...

Nature Journal: Capture Your Experiences in a Journal

Image
Nature Journal: Capture Your Experiences in a Journal Nature Journals are awesome, especially if you live next to a bunch of vegetation, and if you don't know what a Nature Journal is, then let me enlighten you, it's a book where you put down all of nature info. For example, it can be about different types of leaves and hand drawn illustration about flora and fauna (printing is also an option) It could be about your experiences with nature, camping or just a funny story when you went on a road trip with your family. Anyways if you're still feeling stuck, then let me show you how far the road goes. Step 1: Grab (or buy) a green or brown journal. (this isn't necessary but just for the aesthetic) You could customize the cover by sticking um... stickers and make it look aesthetic. The theme is your wish, you could choose vintage or aesthetic vibes. Step 2: Yank a black pen and draw a border on the THIRD page (1st is your details (name, contact blah, blah) and 2nd is the ...

Under The Abyss: Meet The Ocean's Weirdest Animals

Image
Under The Abyss: Meet The Ocean's Weirdest Animals    Have you ever gone to the beach?, got a whiff of the salty air, gone barefoot on the prickly sand, built sandcastles which don't stand more than a few seconds before the boundless oceans sweeps it away. If you have, then you probably really enjoy it or really hate it, there is NO in-between in those two categories. While I was jogging across the coastline, I stopped to ponder for a minute, what IS actually under the ocean, if there are microorganisms on the land, then there must be some in the water as well. There are a lot of animals that live on the Earth, and we see them often because we humans are a part of Earth as well, but how many creatures are actually there in the oceans that we are yet to know?, because we can't survive for a long time without breathing, there are oxygen tanks but we still need to refill them regularly. However, there are still some creature that we study about and come across (somet...

Skyflix: Brushstrokes of the Sky

Image
Cloud Gazing: Brushstrokes of the Sky Okay, I want you close your eyes and imagine this- you're apartment's internet connection went off (again) and you have nothing to do, you finished reading all the books you bought and forgot to go the store to get more. You get ready, only to realize it's Sunday. Then you realize something. An intense sport you used to play when you were little. Yes it's cloud gazing. Ok, now open your eyes. Now you'll have felt a sudden urge to go outside and stare at the sky. First of all, cloud gazing doesn't need any subscription, no WIFI, it's all free. It's all about the imagination and how you see the world. If you're emo, you might have the sudden inspiration to make a poem, if you're an artist you might try to re-create the sky and it's clouds, or you might just sit there and stare.

Masters of Midnight: Nocturnal animals

Image
Masters of Midnight: Nocturnal Animals  We are all familiar with the term 'Nocturnal'. Basically animals who are night people. They hunt, fly, walk, slither etc., at night. Well, I think they're pretty cool, considering the fact that the owl is one of my top ten favorite animals. Imagine chilling out during the day and waking up in the middle of the night with NIGHT VISION!! WHA-??. Anyways nocturnal animals have amazing senses. They may not be on top of the food chain, but they're definitely one of the popular kids. Moving on, this post will mainly be focusing on just three animals.
